Planning to Quit your Job? Read this

Skipping the rat race, Exploring the unexplored, Taking a shot in the dark. These are some of the quotes successful people use to justify their journey that led them to success. Every employee has a dream, some dream about being an entrepreneur, some dream of being an artist, some of being a politician, etc. Most of us kill our dreams as we are laden by the weights of the responsibilities at home. Some of us delay on them feeling that the current scenario is not good.

Reasons behind Quitting your job?

If you are planning to quit your job then it will be because of one of the reason listed below:-

  1. You just hate the work you are doing.
  2. You are getting a better offer from another organization.
  3. You hate your colleagues in your office.
  4. You want to start your own business or pursue your passion of being an artist.
  5. You want to go for higher studies.
  6. You just need a break.

Is it the right time to Quit your Job?

Considering the poor economic situation in the world I would not advise you to quit your job. But who am I to decide for you. If you gut feeling says so then you should quit. I am a firm believer in the inner voice and if you feel that quitting the job will benefit you in the long term then you should quit now. Else save your decision for a better time when you are 100% sure that you should quit.

What is your plan after you quit?

There will be people who say that having you should have a backup plan for failure. But life doesn’t work this way you can only go one way. Either you will go forward or you will go back there is no standing still because life will always move forward. No matter how uncertain the future may look but you should have a plan for it. You need to plan your expenses, goals, mindset, effort, everything because you need to be sure about your decision to quit.

Are you ready for the hardships after you quit?

When you are walking a path not walked by many then you cannot be sure about success but you can be sure about the hardships that will come along the way. Consider this, The world has made a concrete road for you but you feel that there is a way from the jungle through which you might reach your destination before time. If you plan on walking the path through the jungle then you should be ready to handle fierce animals, bad weather conditions, low standards of living and even after all of this there will the society which will be constantly demotivating you to quit.
